Growing Wild (Chinese:野蛮生长) is the 8th studio album released by Li Yuchun (a.k.a. Chris Lee) .[1] The first EP "Wild" (野 yě) of Growing Wild was sold more than 3 million copies in the 16 days following its release in May 2016.[2][3] For comparison: the current No. 1 on the US Billboard chart, Drake's "One Dance," has sold only 1,442,000 copies in twice as long; Beyoncé's Lemonade sold just 974,000 copies in the two weeks after its surprise debut in April 2016.[4]The selling volume of the "Growing Wild" have exceeded over six million and sold over 30 million yuan on Nov, 27.[5]
Growing Wild Tour was the third concert tour by Chinese singer-songwriter Li Yuchun , in support of her eighth studio album, Growing Wild (2016). The tour began on August 20, 2016, in Beijing, and Shenzhen on September 24, Fuzhou on October 15, Nanjing on November 12 and conclud on December 10, 2016 in Chongqing, China.
The Costumes for Li Yuchun's ‘Growing Wild’ Tour will be designed by Alessandro Michele and Alexander Wang. Wang tells the camera. “She’s very daring. She took a lot of fashion risks and I really respect and appreciate that about her,” he continues, describing each look — sporty, denim, tuxedo — as “rooted.”[11][12]
Li Yuchun opened her concert in Beijing's LeSports Center with four Chinese super models -- He Sui, Zhao Lei, He Cong and Liu Chang -- walking down the stage.The first stop of her Growing Wild Tour has attracted around 10,000 fans from around the country.Dancers from the United States, Mexico and Spain backed her up during the show. Addressing her fans at the show, Li said: "I have prepared for the tour for a long time and finally it starts. I am so excited."The tour starts from Beijing because the city means so much to me. I released my first album here, I had my first concert here and I experienced some of my happiest and saddest moments here." Li wore five costumes during the show, which were jointly designed by Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele and Alexander Wang.[13]
