HNLMS Isaac Sweers (F814) (Dutch: Hr.Ms. Isaac Sweers) was a frigate of the Template:Sclass-. The ship was in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy from 1968 to 1990. The frigate was named after Dutch naval hero Isaac Sweers. The ship's radio call sign was "PAVF".[1] She was sold to the Indonesian Navy where the ship was renamed KRI Karel Satsuitubun (356).

Dutch service history

HNLMS Isaac Sweers was one of six Template:Sclass-s and was built at NDSM in Amsterdam. The keel laying took place on 5 May 1965 and the launching on 10 March 1967. The ship was put into service on 15 May 1968.[1]

In late 1972 she served as flagship for STANAVFORLANT.[2]

In 1975 Isaac Sweers participated in the NATO exercise Ocean Safari.[2]

The ship received a mid-life modernization in Den Helder, starting on 1 July 1980 and lasting till August 1982.[1]

In 1986 she was present at the national Fleet days.[1]

In 1990 the vessel was decommissioned and sold to the Indonesian Navy. [1]

Indonesian service history

The ship was put into service in 1990 where the ship was renamed Karel Satsuitubun. [1]
