Heather Baker (born October 9, 1984)[1] is a female American singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer and founder of the band Antiwave. Heather is known for being a session and touring guitar player for the likes of Bonnie Mckee(Pulse Music Publishing), Krewella(Columbia Records), Kerli(Island Records), The Iron Maidens(Powerslave Records) and currently plays with the band Fake Figures(members of Atreyu, Eyelid and Scars of Tomorrow).
Biography
In 2004, Heather Baker and a group of friends formed the band As Night Falls releasing their debut EP The End of All Innocence in 2004.[2][3] In February 2007, Baker joined The Iron Maidens (World's Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden). She joined vocalist Aja Kim, guitarist Sara Marsh, bassist Wanda Ortiz and drummer Linda McDonald as part of the Maidens' 2007–2008 lineup. As a member of the Maidens, her stage name was "Adrienne Smith," a female version of Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith until her official departure in 2010.
In 2011 Baker joined the post hardcore band Fake Figures releasing their debut EP "Hail The Sycophants" followed by "They Must Be Destroyed" in 2013 featuring Travis Miguel of Atreyu, and Rus Martin of Hotwire (band).
Baker joined with artist Bonnie McKee for the release of her single "American Girl" in 2013 taking slots supporting such diverse acts as Katy Perry, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora, Tegan and Sara and is still actively playing guitar and keys for the artist.
In 2013, Baker began commercial composing leading to writing, performing, and recording source music on feature films including Holy Ghost People in 2013, Raised By Wolves in 2014, A Beginner's Guide To Snuff (currently in post-production) set to release in 2015, and Little Paradise (currently in post-production) set to release in 2015.
