Highland-on-the-Lake is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Evans, Erie County, New York, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.[2]
The CDP is in the southwestern part of the county, in the northern part of the town of Evans. It sits on high ground on the shore of Lake Erie, on bluffs which in some places rise 100 feet (30 m) above the lake. New York State Route 5 runs through the CDP, leading northeast 16 miles (26 km) to Buffalo and southwest 27 miles (43 km) to Dunkirk. The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Graycliff is in the northern part of the CDP, overlooking Lake Erie.
