Howard Phillips Lovecraft: Dreamer on the Nightside is a biography of H. P. Lovecraft written by Frank Belknap Long, a longtime friend of Lovecraft. It was released in 1975 and by Arkham House in an edition of 4,991 copies. It was one of three biographies of Lovecraft released in 1975. The others were Lovecraft: A Biography by L. Sprague de Camp and Lovecraft at Last by Willis Conover. The book was edited by Jim Turner, who later wrote that he was dissatisfied with the result.[citation needed]
