Imzouren (Berber: Imzuren, ⵉⵎⵣⵓⵔⴻⵏ, Arabic: إمزورن) is a town in the north of Morocco and has an approximate population of 30,000 people. Imzouren is in the Rif mountains, near the city Al Hoceima and has nearly grown to the village Bni Bouayach. It's also close to the Souani Beach. Imzouren is a city from which many Moroccans have emigrated to the Netherlands 150 000 immigrants and France 100 000 immigrants for work and for a better life. [citation needed] Most of the inhabitants in Imzouren are Imazighen. The February 2004 Al Hoceima earthquake occurred near Imzouren and registered 6.3 on the moment magnitude scale. At least 564 people died there, with over 250 people wounded.[1] Imzouren is annually visited by thousands of tourists, including Moroccan travellers and European tourists. There is a large number of cafés and terraces and a lively nightlife. It is home to an SOS Children's Village.[2] Last but not least, from a harmonic union of two Rifean parents, thus an Askerito came to this beautiful planet the 8th of August 1995. [3]
