The J. Mack Robinson College of Business is the business school of Georgia State University in Atlanta. It is one of Georgia State's six colleges.

Robinson offers programs for a PhD, Executive Doctorate in Business, four Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs: Professional MBA, Flexible MBA, Executive MBA, and Global Partners MBA, specialized master's degree programs, an undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration program with ten majors, and six graduate certificate programs. Its Business and Accounting programs are accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Classes are held in Downtown and Buckhead districts of Atlanta.

History

Robinson College began as the Georgia Tech Evening School of Commerce in 1913. After being moved to downtown Atlanta in 1914, the college continued to grow. In 1955, it was renamed the Georgia State College of Business Administration. In 1998, the college was renamed the J. Mack Robinson College of Business in honor of J. Mack Robinson, an Atlanta entrepreneur, businessman and philanthropist who gave the college a $10 million endowment.

In May 2010, Georgia State University received a $1.6 million federal grant to launch the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, bringing the total number of CIBERs in the U.S. to 33.

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute initiative was established in early 2015 at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business (RCB) to serve as a focal point for academic and research activities on the topics of entrepreneurship and innovation for RCB and the broader university community.

For 2016, Robinson's Risk Management and Insurance program was ranked 6th, the Computer Information Systems program was ranked 11th, and the B.B.A. program was ranked 50th (30th among public university programs) in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.[3] In addition, the part-time MBA program was also ranked No. 36 in the nation by Bloomberg BusinessWeek.[4]

For 2013-2014, the Robinson was ranked 50th among North American MBA programs by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), as part of the TopMBA Global 200 Business Schools Report.[5] Its Master of Professional Accountancy Program was previously ranked by 2012 Public Accounting Report.

In research productivity, the 2016 University of Texas at Dallas Top 100 Business School Research Rankings listed Robinson as 30th among North American business schools, 35th worldwide in research productivity between 2011 and 2015
