Ernest Bremer, Jr., nicknamed J. R. (born September 19, 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio), is a US-born Bosnian professional basketball player. Bremer has played in the NBA. Bremer represents the Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team[1] and was one of the highest paid point guards in Europe in 2008.

Pro career

A 6'3" (1.91 m) 205 pound (93 kg) left-handed point guard from St. Bonaventure University, Bremer signed as an undrafted free agent with the NBA's Boston Celtics in 2002, and in that season he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team. He spent two seasons in the NBA with the Celtics (2002–03), the Cleveland Cavaliers (2003–04) and the Golden State Warriors (2003–04), averaging 6.5 points and 2.2 assists per game. He became known as a 3-point specialist. The Charlotte Bobcats selected him from the Warriors in the NBA expansion draft and then waived him shortly thereafter, before he played any games with the club. Since 2004, he has played in Europe, competing for Unicaja Malaga of the Spanish league, Angelico Biella of the Italian league, PAOK BC of the Greek league, KK Bosna of the Bosnia and Herzegovina league, and Spartak Primorje and Triumph Lyubertsy of the Russian Super League. In 2009, he signed with Krasnye Krylya Samara in Russia. In July 2011 he signed with BC Nizhny Novgorod.[2]
