July 2011[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for repeatedly making unsourced changes to biography articles. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:10, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. 07:09, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

August 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Alan Anderson (basketball) has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to J. R. Bremer with this edit, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Crazynas t 08:23, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Terrell Lyday with this edit. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Crazynas t 08:26, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Height/Weight[edit]

Please do not change the height and weight parameters in an infobox unless it is back up by a citation or reference in the article. You have had enough warnings, do it again and you will likely be blocked from editing. Thank you. Jevansen (talk) 12:39, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistent disruptive editing, including repeated changes of content of biographical articles without sources or explanation, and repeated removal of sources, likewise without explanation. You have made no attempt at all to explain your edits, nor have you responded to messages. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

I'm not trying to vandalise wikipedia, I'm just trying to help and update player profiles e.g. I go onto the Official AFL site and look at the height and weight of a player and if wikipedia has something different to what the AFL site has then I change it. I'm just trying to contribute and update, I'm not trying to be a "vandal".

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. TNXMan 13:21, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Have you actually read the reasons given for the block? If so you will be aware that it was not for vandalism. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:37, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
