Johnny English is a British series of action comedy film parodying the James Bond secret agent genre. It features Rowan Atkinson as the titular character, based on the screenplay was written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. The series included 3 installments: Johnny English (2003), Johnny English Reborn (2011), and the upcoming Johnny English 3 which is in pre production.

The series is also infused with comedy similar to Atkinson's Mr. Bean character, and has grossed over $320 million worldwide.

Johnny English (2003)

After a sudden attack on "MI7", Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson), Britain's most confident yet unintelligent spy, becomes Britain's only spy.

Johnny English Reborn (2011)

Johnny English goes up against international assassins hunting down the Chinese premier.

Johnny English 3 (2018)

In May 2017, it was announced that Rowan Atkinson would be returning to play Johnny English in the sequel to the 2011 film Johnny English Reborn.[1] On 3 August 2017, Working Title Films announced that they had begun production on the David Kerr's directed sequel.[2] The film is scheduled to be released on 12 October 2018 by Universal Pictures.[1][3]

Cast

Rowan Atkinson is the main character from the first to third film, and Ben Miller appeared and was in the main cast of Johnny English but in the sequel he appeared in a deleted scene. In the upcoming third film, he is back again in role as Angus Bough in Johnny English 3.
