Joniawas (or Joniyawas) is a village in Rewari tehsil, Rewari district, Haryana, India, in Gurgaon division. It is 38.1 km from Rewari on the Rewari-Delhi Road near Farukhnagar.[1] It is 324 kilometres (201 mi) from the state capital, Chandigarh.[1]

Demographics of 2011

As of 2011 India census, Joniawas had a population of 1047 in 206 households. Males (536) constitute 51.19% of the population and females (511) 48.8%. Joniawas has an average literacy (752) rate of 71.82%, lower than the national average of 74%: male literacy (442) is 58.77%, and female literacy (310) is 41.22% of total literates (752). In Joniawas, 13.18% of the population is under 6 years of age (138).[3]
