Joy Giovanni (born January 20, 1978) is an American actress, glamour model, and former WWE Diva. She is best known for her time with World Wrestling Entertainment, working on its SmackDown! brand.

Career

Joy Giovanni is an independent film actress based out of California and has appeared in several notable television shows and independent movies. She has also been a model since 2001. She competed in the 2004 and 2005 Lingerie Bowl events.

World Wrestling Entertainment

Giovanni would then participate in 2004 Diva Search though after finishing third place in the competition, WWE would then sign her to a contract just a few days after her elimination.[2]

Joy would then debut on SmackDown! as a "Massage Therapist". She would then start a heated feud with Amy Weber, which saw the two become involved in The Big Show's feud with JBL, where Giovanni would then become the (kayfabe) girlfriend of Big Show. They would feud until Amy's departure from the company in February 2005. The feud included a part where Joy was kidnapped and discovered, bound and gagged in JBL's limo trunk, as well as a backstage catfight between Amy and herself.

After Weber's departure from WWE, Joy competed in the 2005 Rookie Diva of the Year contest at No Way Out, where she won with 65% of the vote. After this, she would occasionally appear on SmackDown! during backstage segments with other Divas or occasional bikini and lingerie contests. She was released by WWE on July 6, 2005.[3]
