Jump Force is a fighting game developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment featuring characters from various manga series featured in the Weekly Shōnen Jump anthology.[2] The game will release in February 2019 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Gameplay

Jump Force is a 3-on-3 tag team fighting game featuring characters from various manga and anime series featured in the Weekly Shōnen Jump line of magazines.[2]

Characters

So far, 22 characters from 8 series have been confirmed to be playable.

In addition, Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note will appear in the game's story mode,[12] as well as some original characters designed by Akira Toriyama.[10]

Premise

When the real world collides with the Shōnen Jump universe, many heroes join the "Jump Force" to fight against whoever is causing this phenomenon.

Development and release

Jump Force is being developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco.[13] It is being developed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shōnen Jump.[13] The game is being developed using Unreal Engine 4.[13] Jump Force was announced at E3 2018 during Microsoft's press conference[2] and is scheduled to be released in February 2019 for Windows, PlayStation 4. and Xbox One.[13]
