Was weird before; stated as outright fact that they lived along the Volga, then said this was argued by some historians, then presented competing theories. I assume the initial statement about living along the Volga wasn't meant to be so unequivocal? undo

May, a programmer and libertarian activist who worked for Intel and has been dead for 4 years. The book's author - Timothy May, PhD - is a professor of Eurasian history who works for the University of North Georgia, and is, as best I can tell, alive - or at least, he was active on Twitter no more than 20 days ago, per https://twitter.com/Prof_TimothyMay/likes. I am pretty certain these are different people! undo
