Kaivalya Kumar Gurav is a third generation singer from the Kirana gharana (singing style) of Indian classical music.[1][2][3]

Early life

Gurav's grandfather Ganapatrao Gurav was a first batch disciple of Abdul Karim Khan, founder of Kirana gharana. By the age of 5, he had started systematic training in classical singing from his father Sangmeshwar Gurav[citation needed]. He is a Gold Medallist of M.A. Music from Karnatak University.

Career

He has several albums to his credit. He is the youngest Hindustani Classical vocalist to get a top grade by 'All India Radio' (India’s national radio channel) and 'Doordarshan' (India’s national television channel)[citation needed].

Gurav has performed in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Dubai, Muscat, and Qatar[citation needed].
