Kingsley's Adventure is an action-adventure game developed and published by Psygnosis exclusively for PlayStation.

Gameplay

The game is similar to The Legend of Zelda series, in the sense that players are given a quest and have to explore certain areas of the game's overworld using a sword and a crossbow (both being upgradeable during the adventure). Young knight Kingsley, a fox swordsman, is sent to protect the Fruit Kingdom from warlock Bad Custard. The game starts with a cutscene of a puppet show where dark fruit is shown attacking the Fruit Kingdom, then it shows Kingsley; the main character the player controls. This, along with the ending scene and game over screen, are the only cutscenes in the game.

Reception

Kingsley's Adventure received average or positive reviews from critics.[1] Cal Nguyen rated the game 3.5 stars out of 5 on AllGame, adding that "Kingsley's Adventure is a game that tests people's patience but overall has a good children and family-oriented premise with its cute storyline and even cuter main character. For those fans of Crash Bandicoot and other action-adventure platformer freaks, this is definitely worth trying out." [2]
