Template:Contains Korean text Kwon Mina (Korean: 권민아; born September 21, 1993), better known as simply Mina, is a South Korean idol singer and actress. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group AOA under FNC Entertainment.

Biography

Mina was born on September 21, 1993, in Busan, South Korea.[1] She auditioned for FNC in 2009, and her family moved from Busan to Seoul soon after.

Her father died on November 29, 2014 due to cancer.[2]

Career

AOA

On July 30, 2012, Mina made her debut as a member of AOA on Mnet's M! Countdown with their debut single, Angels' Story, with the title track "Elvis".[3] She is also part of band unit AOA Black, established in 2013.[4]

Solo career

In 2013 Mina debuted as an actress with the KBS2 drama special Adolescence Medley, where she played Yoon Jin-yeong. In February 2014, Mina played the younger role of Kim Hee-sun's character, Cha Hye-won, in KBS drama Wonderful Days.[5] On July 15, 2014, she was confirmed for SBS weekend drama Modern Farmer as a her first main role.[6]

On February 26, 2015, Mina appeared in the music video for solo singer Shade's song "Bad".[7] On May 1, was revealed that Mina would make her debut as a MC with Y-Star's variety show Gourmet Road.[8] In August, she was appointed as co-MC on Weekly Idol with Apink's Hayoung and VIXX's N, starting from September 2.[9] On September 9, 2015, Mina appeared in the music video for solo singer M.I.B's Kangnam's song "Chocolate" together with Nam Joo-hyuk.[10] On December 5, she joined the cast of KBS weekend drama All About My Mom, starting from episode 33, as Go Aeng-doo, a pretty and innocent, yet mysterious young lady.[11]

In March 2016, Mina was confirmed for the web drama Click Your Heart. She will play the lead role, a high school student.[12]
