LeSean Thomas has worked in the animation industry for over 10 years on successful animated shows. He is Supervising Character designer and Co-Director on Adult Swim's "The Boondocks." He currently works as a storyboard artist on " Ben 10: Alien Force," a sequel to Cartoon Network's award-winning series " Ben 10," which premieres in Spring 2008. In years past, LeSean has worked as assistant animator and key storyboard artist for such shows as "The Lizzy McGuire Show" and "Kim Possible" on The Disney Channel, and "The Batman" on Kid's WB! His Artwork achieved crossover appeal on the internet when he served as Lead Character Designer and Key Animator on Showtime's pioneering web series "WhirlGirl." LeSean created, wrote, executive produced and directed another animated web series called "BattleSeed" for the Sci Fi Channel Online, which was screened to much fanfare at the New York Anime Film Festival in 2000. He produced a "BattleSeed" original animated trailer which aired in thatres as a promotional trailer for the Sci Fi Channel in front of blockbusters "X-Men," "what Lies beneath" and"The Nutty Professor 2." LeSean also provided opening artwork for the action adventure movie "UltraViolet." Beyond animation, LeSean is a highly regarded comicbook artist, with work on such titles as 'Arkanium," and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." He's currently producing a second art book, "Midnight Marauder: the Art of LeSean Thomas Vol.2" and a Hip Hop action fantasy graphic novel called "Cannon Busters" which is scheduled for completion in 2008. He lives in Los Angeles.

LeSean Thomas also accredited simply as LeSean (born 1975 in South Bronx, New York) is an American comic book artist, writer, illustartor, animator, and character designer. His current projects include: Cannon Busters, a creator-owned graphic novel and he is currently responsible for the character designs on The Boondocks TV series on Cartoon Network.

Background

During his career Thomas has held various positions in the field of art providing animation, storyboarding, and character designs for a varierty of companies including Sony, Disney, Warner Bros., Fox, MTV, Nickelodeon, Lucasfilm, and Cartoon Network. He's worked on flash series, Whirl Girl and Battle Seed. After posting some of his artowk on Dreamwave Productions' message board, Pat Lee offered him a job. Thomas provided work on Arkanium, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic based on the 2003 television series with Peter David. After the cancellation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dreamwave Productions going declaring bankruptcy Thomas began working on Cannon Busters, a creator owned fantasy series paying homage to The Wizard of Oz. After becoming involved with The Boondocks he postponned the Cannnon Busters project deciding to release it as a graphic novel.
