Lee Su-ji (born March 20, 1998), better known by her stage name Halla or Suji, is a South Korean singer and actress. She is a member of the South Korean girl group The Ark which disbanded in 2016. She is also a member of the project South Korean girl group called Real Girls Project and The Unit's soon-to-debut girl group called UNI.T.

Early life and education

Lee Su-ji was born on March 20, 1998 in Busan, South Korea. But she is living Daegu,South Korea.[1]

She attended Hanlim Multi Art School learning Broadcasting & Entertainment Department in Seoul and graduated on 10 February, 2017.[2]

She joined Music K Entertainment in 2013 and trained for two years. Her speciality is speaking Chinese and acting. She is also a friend of SinB and Umji who are girl group members from GFriend.

Career

Pre-debut

In 2014, Halla appeared in the music video of labelmate Hong Jin-young's song "Cheer Up".[3]

In March 19, 2015, Halla was introduced as a member of Music K Entertainment's new girl group, THE ARK.[4]

2015: THE ARK

On April 12, 2015, Halla debuted as a member of THE ARK.[5] The group debuted with two well-known members, Euna Kim (Superstar K3) and Jeon Minju (Kpop Star 2) and gained high anticipation due to the unique concept of their debut music video and concept style. Even BTS reacted to their dance cover of "Boy in Luv."

2016-present: The Idolmaster KR, Real Girls Project and solo activities

In March 2016, however, after The Ark's long hiatus, Music K announced the disbandment of the group. In April 26, 2016, Suji joined a drama audition for a Japanese raising simulation and rhythm video game series call The Idolmaster.[6] In August 25, she debuted as a member of Real Girls Project for the unit of The Idolmaster KR.[7][8]

In April 28, 2017, Suji made her acting debut in the web drama The Idolmaster KR where she played the main lead.[9] In November 4, 2017, Suji joined The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project with The Ark's member Euna Kim.[10][11][12] She won a final spot on Top 9 and became a part of the group called UNI.T.[13][14]
