Louisa Chirico (born May 16, 1996 in Morristown, New Jersey) is an American tennis player.
Chirico, who comes from Harrison, New York,[1] has won three singles and two doubles titles on the ITF tour in her career. On June 8, 2015, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 110. On November 10, 2014, she peaked at world number 210 in the doubles rankings.
Career
Chirico did well as a junior, making it to the semifinals of 2 grand slams. She has had a good showing on the ITF Circuit, winning three titles. At the 2015 French Open she was given a wildcard spot to the main draw of the tournament.
2015
Chirico won her first WTA Tour match at the 2015 Citi Open where she defeated the Brit Heather Watson in straight sets. She then beat top 30 player Alizé Cornet in a third set tiebreak. She lost to compatriot Sloane Stephens in the quarterfinals.
