The Low Islets are a close pair of small granite islands, with a combined area of about 2 ha, in south-eastern Australia. They are part of Tasmania’s Passage Island Group, lying in eastern Bass Strait south of Cape Barren Island in the Furneaux Group. It is one of only three sites where pelicans breed in Tasmania.[1]

Fauna

Recorded breeding seabird, wader and waterbird species include little penguin, Pacific gull, silver gull, sooty oystercatcher, black-faced cormorant, Australian pelican, Caspian tern, crested tern and white-fronted tern.[2]
