Mafeking is an unincorporated community recognized as a local urban district[2] in western Manitoba, Canada. It is located approximately 65 kilometers (40 miles) north of Swan River, Manitoba[3] in the Rural Municipality of Mountain.
The town shares a name with a city in South Africa
