Mahuda is a town and a Railway station in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand State of India.

Location

Mahuda is a village in mahuda bazar in Baghmara Tehsil in Dhanbad District in Jharkhand State . Mahuda is 13 km far from its Tehsil Main Town Baghmara . Mahuda is located at distance of 19.2 km from Jharia and 19 km distance from its District Main City Dhanbad.[1][2]it is a outskirt of bokaro .

Economy

Mahuda is in famous Jharia coal mining belt and has collieries and also a coal washery belonging to Bharat Coking Coal Limited, which forms the back bone of economy of the town and surrounding areas.

Mahuda also has a Railway station originally built for coal mining purpose managed by South Eastern Railway. The station code in MHQ. Mahuda is located on one end of Chota Nagpur Plateau.
