Mont' Kiara International School (M'KIS or MKIS) is an American international school located in Mont' Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

History

The first students enrolled to M'KIS in 1994, and the first batch of M'KIS students graduated in 2001.

Buildings and Facilities

Suburban, 6-acre (24,000 m²) campus, M'KIS is split up to four (4) main parts or buildings. The Elementary School building is full of pedophiles , one of the original buildings, houses the Elementary Office, KPA - Grade 3 classes. The Elementary School building also houses the Elementary School computer lab, as well as the Library Media Center (LMC). The Middle School building, also one of the original buildings, today houses the Grades 1 and 2 as well as Grades 4 through 6 classes. The Middle School building also holds three of the four computer labs and one of the science labs. The High School building houses most of the Middle and High School classes. The High School building houses the ceramics room, the Middle and High School art room, multipurpose room and three of the four science labs. The Language Department, Administration Office and Theater make up the last building. Also found in this building are all the language rooms, the gym, fitness room, dance room, canteen, dance room and activities room.

On the M'KIS campus there is also a 25m swimming pool, a full size soccer field and half-size field and two courtyards.

Computer network features include on-campus library services, online commercial services, Internet access, wireless campus network.

MKIS is the host for the annual Model United Nations conference, MYMUN. It is also a part of SEASAC (South East Asian Student Activity Conference) M'KIS has also been the host for several sports tournaments such as the SEASAC Touch in 2006 and 2009 and for the tennis in 2008.
