Template:Infobox South African town Moreleta Park (Afrikaans: Moreletapark) is a suburb of Pretoria, South Africa, situated 12 kilometres (7 mi) southeast of the city centre. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of 27,539 people.[1]

This is a suburban area with the majority of people commuting to work elsewhere; e.g. Johannesburg. There are a number of business premises in the suburb, making offices more accessible to local business owners. There are some home businesses that provide various services to residents. The Pretoria-East and Kloof private hospitals in the suburb offer health care services to people from Moreleta Park and surrounding suburbs.

  • Nature conservation

The Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve is also situated in the suburb. African wild life; like zebras, springbok, other small antelope and ostriches may be observed. Entrance is free of charge. Rademeyers Restaurant in the reserve offers a variety of meals and drinks.

  • Property Mix

The Suburb has a broad mixture of properties; including office parks, retail shopping centers, hospitals, churches, upmarket single stand housing, gated security complexes. as well as typically smaller and higher density residential units built within an outer wall that forms a security barrier. There is also an informal settlement called "Plastic View" within the borders of the suburb. This poverty stricken settlement does not receive much noted support from the local council. Some local charities are reaching out to these residents from time to time.

Crime has also left it marks here. Theft, robbery, car hijacks, kidnapping, homicide, etc. have been reported about from time to time. There are also private security firms that provide armed response security services on a paid subscription basis to house holds and businesses in the area.
