History
[edit]The 200 MW planned solar power plant is being built by the state-owned NHPC at Gujarat Hybrid Renewable Energy Park.[1][2] In 2023, NHPC became one of the four winning participants in securing a part of a 1200 MW solar project in the area via a tender released by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.[3]
As per recent media reports, the estimated cost of the project would be around ₹1,007.60 crore (US$120 million).[4]
