The Nagartha or Nagarta are Vaishya as per Hindu caste of south India of merchants or agriculturalists. Nagartha is sub caste in veerashaiva lingayath. Nagartha wear the sacred thread with linga in box. They perform the rituals of Shiva pooja daily and follow the veerashaiva customs.

The Nagartha live in the southern Karnataka districts of Mysore, Bangalore, Kolar, and Tumkur and in northern Tamil Nadu.
