Namig Guliyev (Azerbaijani: Namiq Quliyev; born 13 February 1974 in Beylagan) is an Azerbaijani chess Grandmaster. He played for Azerbaijan in the Chess Olympiads of 1994 and 2006.[1]

Chess career

In 2003 he came first at Bischwiller.[2] In 2005, he tied for 1st–4th with Oleg Korneev, Andrei Sokolov and Azer Mirzoev at Béthune.[3] In 2009, tied for 1st–3rd with Friso Nijboer and Adam Horvath at Metz.[4] In 2010, tied for 1st–3rd with Valentin Panbukchian and Vladimir Malaniuk at Malakoff.[5] In 2012, he won the Open of Plancoët.[6]
