New Day is a weekday morning television show on CNN anchored by Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota. It premiered on June 17, 2013 and airs from 6:00-9:00 a.m. ET, originating from CNN's Time Warner Center studios in New York City. New Day replaced Starting Point, formerly anchored by Soledad O'Brien, which had aired since January 2, 2012.

Cuomo joined CNN from ABC News in January 2013.Pereira joined CNN from Los Angeles' KTLA in May 2013. Former Good Morning America and CBS Evening News executive producer Jim Murphy is senior executive producer. Javier Morgado is executive producer. Pereira departed the show on April 29, 2016. Pereira will anchor a live, three-hour daytime news program on CNN’s sister channel HLN beginning June 2016.

Weekend edition

The weekend editions of New Day have replaced Early Start Weekend, CNN Saturday Morning and CNN Sunday Morning and have started airing since June 22, 2013. New Day airs on Saturdays from 6:00-9:00 a.m. and Sundays from 6:00-8:30 a.m.[1] Victor Blackwell anchors weekend editions of New Day alongside Christi Paul.
