Synopsis
"One and a Half Summer" tells the story of a young man named Zhang Hao (Nichkhun) searching for the love of his life that he met in Santorini during a vacation to Greece. Believing that he was destined to be with this mysterious woman, he went all the way to China from New York City just to find this mystery girl leaving her college handbook by the name "Luo Man" whom Zhang Hao went looking for at Nanyang University. Zhang Hao immediately found out, however, that "Luo Man" was perhaps another woman whom he never knew before. At this junction, Zhang Hao decides not to give up searching for this peculiar woman.
During the quest, a band consisted of Zhang Hao, Li Xiuqi (Jiang Jinfu), Ma Juncai, Wen Tingting, and Wang Minqiang was founded by Luo Man. During this time, many love couples were also formed including that of Ma Juncai (Weida Xun). Conjointly, Luo Man secretly fell in love with Zhang Hao despite being always mad at him. After a series of fortunate and unfortunate events, Zhang Hao eventually found the mystery woman under the name of Shu Qing (Yu Wenwen) who was already engaged at the time. Zhang Hao was put into a deep crisis after being denied and rejected by Shu Qing, but nevertheless learned to move on as time passed by.
After Zhang Hao finally came forward, Luo Man incidentally revealed her feelings towards Zhang Hao. Due to this, a tension between Li Xiuqi and Zhang Hao came into picture because the feelings of Li Xiuqi for Luo Man was revealed later on. Zhang Hao decided to give way for Luo Man's childhood friend Li Xiuqi, but at a later time realized that he cannot bear hiding his feelings for Luo Man as well. As Zhang Hao was about to confess his love for Luo Man, his mom called him to go back to New York, otherwise he will not be able to graduate and thus averting him to blurt out his feelings.
After their final band performance, Zhang Hao bid his goodbye with his friends which totally shocked everyone. Luo Man was especially hurt knowing that their romantic relationship, although haven't even started, had already ended. One year later, a gathering was held at Santorini where they all had a reception except Luo Man. It was told that Luo Man traveled across various countries, leaving his school friends behind. In the end, while Zhang Hao was talking to Li Xiuqi, he coincidentally sees Luo Man walking at the beach front.
The final question is: who will Luo Man choose in the end?

He is very cheerful and friendly, and a food-lover. He became friends with many dormers including Luo Man, who begins to develop unusual feelings towards him. - Xu Lu as Luo Man
A philosophy junior, she is secretly a teacher's daughter in her college and tries helping her dad by creating a band club for which he will be in charge. She thought that if the band wins an award, his father will save his job of teaching that is at stake because of his very boring classes. Along the way, she meets the charming Zhang Hao. Despite the bad first impression, she starts to realize that Zhang Hao is not that bad and starts seeing him in a romantic way. - Jiang Jinfu as Li Xiuqi
A law junior student who serves as the student council president. He takes care of people before him, which made him get the "intimate brother" nickname. He behaves like a knight, has strong principles, perfectionist, and gets along with everyone. He is Luo Man's childhood friend and secret lover. As a son, he wants to become successful and succeed the expectations of his parents. After confessing his feelings, he gets into a conflict with Zhang Hao, who became romantically related with Luo Man. - Yu Wenwen as Shu Qing
A junior cello student who trips the heart of Zhang Hao on Santorini. She loves Zhang Hao the way Zhang Hao loves her, but decides to deny and reject him in exchange for Tang Bowen, whom her parents want. She is glamorous, aloof, and taciturn. Under the auspices of the seriousness of her father's expectations, she begins playing the cello although she longs to play rock. For this reason, she secretly performs rock music at different bars and gigs. - Weida Xun as Ma Juncai
An economic management junior who repeatedly claim to be a very sensitive Pisces. He is aggressive, loquacious, and romantic. He loves to catch the eyes of the women by using his photoshopped images on social networking pages, but nevertheless gets rejected every time he meets women. A bar incident where Wen Tingting defended him against his date rejecting him led them to become couples. - Gao Longke as Wen Tingting
A philosophy junior, she is a good singer who grew up in a wealthy environment. Shopping is her favorite hobby and at the same time her weakness because she can easily be lured by material things. She loves to dress up because she believes that is the best way to capture a man's heart. She initially felt in love with Li Xiuqi and tried to do everything for him, but ended up with Ma Juncai after getting tired of her unrequited love towards Xiuqi. - Meng Jia as Song Qing
An accounting junior, she is very rigid and hard working. All she does is to read her books and get busy memorizing English vocabularies. She easily gets mad when someone destroys the silence of the atmosphere because she cannot focus on her studies. - Li Chang as Wang Minqiang
A computer science junior, he is a very silent person who likes playing video games. His colleagues prevent getting close with him because he barely takes a bath in a year. When he does, he recycles his unwashed clothes unless it is a very important occasion. He came from a village and is the only one from his hometown to enter college, making him the most famous guy in town. - He Yanxi as Fan Bingbing
A junior student, she loves eating all types of food which keeps her from failing to achieve her goal to slim down. She is a silent woman who perilously yet surreptitiously finding a man that will accept him for who she is. One year after Zhang Hao left China, she ostensibly ends up with Wang Minqiang. - Nick Chou as Tang Bowen
A director and CEO of a company, he is very serious and silently romantic. He is the fiancé of Shu Qing and desperately does everything to please her no matter what it takes. - Zhu Dan as Ding Ling
An owner of a bar named M Pub Project, she is an elegant and meticulous female boss. She remains to be single at age 32 until she saw Luo Man's father Luo Haibin whom she crazily fell in love with. Despite their differences, they were able to meet at the middle and became a couple. - Zhou Xiaoou as Luo Haibin
A music teacher, he is very optimistic, proud, bragging, and a former singing idol. His classes are very boring putting his teaching job at stake. He is dedicated to giving Luo Man a good life because he failed to give her and her mother an epicurean life when Luo Man's mother was still alive. Thus, he does everything to achieve this goal. He accidentally met Ding Ling in an unfortunate situation, which eventually led them to becoming a couple.
