Overdose is the eighth studio album by Japanese pop band Pizzicato Five. The album was released on October 1, 1994 by the Nippon Columbia imprint Triad. It marks the group's first full-length album following the departure of founding member Keitarō Takanami. Setting a trend that would exist in later Pizzicato Five albums, Overdose is themed around a famous city, in this case New York City.[1] Musically, the album delves in soul music, containing several references to Stevie Wonder, most prominently the harmonica solo of "On the Sunny Side of the Street".[1]

Overdose produced four singles: "The Night Is Still Young", "Happy Sad", "Superstar" and "On the Sunny Side of the Street". The song "Airplane" was later redone on the 1996 EP Sister Freedom Tapes, titled as "Airplane 96".[2] Several tracks from Overdose appeared on the 1995 compilation album The Sound of Music by Pizzicato Five.[3]
