The Pak Business Express (Urdu: پاک کاروبار اکسپريس , or Pakistan Business Express) was a daily express business-class train service between Karachi and Lahore. It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani on 4 January 2012 [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] The total traveling time of the route was 18 hours with two short stops in Khanewal and Rohri, on a total travelling distance of 1,214 kilometres (754 mi).[9] It became Pakistan's first and most profitable privatized train during its operation between 2012 and 2015.
History
The Pak Business Express was the brainchild of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry.[10] The train had free wi-fi internet service for passengers, offered by the Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited.[11]
