Pangarap na Bituin (lit. The Star We Dreamt) is a Filipino primetime TV series produced by ABS-CBN, from September 3, 2007 to December 7, 2007. On Monday, September 3, 2007 as 97.8% The series was a regional semi-finalist for the 2008 International Emmy Awards under the Telenovela Program category.[1]
This is also the 2nd Highest rating Musical Primetime Series after 2006's Bituing Walang Ningning it was also considered a Sineserye because of its similar adaptation to the 1986 film Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas the movie and the TV series have different storylines but both stories revolve around a trio of female singers struggling to follow their dreams above animosities revolving the difficult world of showbiz trying not to break upon their bonds.
Synopsis
The Jewel Sisters, a singing pop trio who will walk the royal yet sometimes rocky road to fame. After the tragedy that left their biological parents seemed dead, Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby are accidentally separated from one another. But one dream will make their paths cross, and together, they will make music that fans all over the country will deeply adore.
At first, they will all think that their love for one another as sisters will see them through the challenging life as celebrities. But little did they know that there is more to dream than the wealth and glory. Sapphire is willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead and be with Terrence Rodriguez. Emerald falls in love with Terrence, but the manipulative manager Alberta will stand against their love. But, Emerald and Terrence secretly became boyfriend and girlfriend without anyone knowing except for Cocoy, adoptive father of Emerald. Ruby will battle with her own insecurities to gain the self-esteem she needs.
During the last episode, Bridgette Ramirez revealed the real Sapphire Gomez and the real Mother of the Jewel Sisters. Also, Bridgette now knows that her father died because of Lena, the impostor mother of the three. After the incidents, the Jewel Sisters are together with their Mother Jade Gomez, planned to have a concert. And this concert is the happiest moments together as a family, and Ruby and Jeffrey became boyfriend and girlfriend, while Alberta Tuazon apologize to her husband, and they live happily ever after.

Trivia
The drama's theme song was first used in the Tagalized GMA Korean Drama Jewel in the Palace. Six years later, it was used in Mundo Mo'y Akin.
Reception
The pilot episode garnered a total rating of 27% according to AGB Nielsen in Mega Manila. Its lowest was 20.6% while the highest was its final episode which garnered 29.6% Its finale reached 40.3% in the Nationwide ratings (NUTAM).
