Port Said Stadium (Arabic: ستاد بورسعيد) or "Stad Būr Sa'īd", is a multi-use stadium with an all-seated capacity of 17,988. The stadium is banned until 2016. Located in Al-Manakh district in Port Said, Egypt, it was completed in 1955, and was inaugurated by Hussein el-Shafei the Egyptian minister of social affairs on behalf of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. It is used by Al-Masry Club.[citation needed]

The Stadium was one of the stadiums to be used in the 2006 African Cup of Nations and 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Egypt so it underwent a major renovation, and was brought up to FIFA's standard.[citation needed]

It is located about 8 km of Port Said Airport.[citation needed]

On 1 February 2012, the Port Said football match disaster occurred, resulting in 72 deaths following a match between Al-Masry Club and Al-Ahly S.C..[2]
