Prachuap Khiri Khan Football Club (Thai สโมสรฟุตบอลจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ) is a Thai professional football club based in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Club officially founded in 2007 and taking time to set-up around 2 years.

In their first season, 2009-2010, Two years after formed the club, they entered and played in Regional League Division 2 Central & Eastern region. With limitation of budget and environment, They finished in 10th position out of 12 teams. But for next season, 2010-2011 campaign, they were force to moved to the Southern division. With this move, they pulled out citing insufficient budget and concerns about safety.

In 2011-2012 season, Club targeted to return to join league again after pulled-out in 2010-2011 season. New chairman, Mr.Songkiat Lim-aroonrak, appointed and aim to changed the club philosophy for next generation of successful. He considered to re-designed a club new logo, stadium and appearance to be more strength as fighter.

In Season 2014-2015, Club won AIS League Division 2 - Southern Region and advance through Champions League Round. They defeated Thai Honda Ladkrabang F.C. in final match and crowned a title.

In Season 2015-2016, Club began to play in Thai Division 1 League since founded the club in 2011 ever. Finishing Mid-table with good performance on first spell season.

In Season 2016-2017, The club has changed the team name to "PT Prachaup F.C." to reciprocate for the main sponsor, PTG Energy, to supported the club by strengthen the squad with 20 new players and experienced coaching staff.


  • In 2007, First official logo was designed under concept of "Club home province famous". Prachuap Khiri Khan is famous in various aspects. But the design considerations are Kui Buri elephants and Kuha Karuhas pavilion. Kui Buri is famous for rich forest with wild elephant habitat. "Kuha Karuhas pavilion", One of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park most visit point, located inside Phraya Nakhon Cave, it is a historic site built during King Rama V's (King Chulalongkorn) reign. The throne has since become the symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
  • In 2011-2012 season, Club targeted to re-designed a new logo. "Wasps" was chosen as club characters and mascot. It's coming from the nickname of the Minister Chalermchai Sri-on, former Prachuap Khiri Khan minister, Whom the president of the club respect very much.

It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Prachuap F.C.. The stadium holds 2,700 people.

Prachuap FC Mascot, The Killer Wasp

The Killer Wasp is the official club's mascot. He has yellow skin and body with covering by Prachuap F.C.'s home uniform colors. He acting since 2011 as the club officially renovated.

Supporters

Prachuap FC supporters, Called "Panta Devil", have formed several support clubs related to the team, and almost all of them are partially focused on making trips to Sam Ao Stadium easier. Home games were well attended as a percentage of the stadium throughout the 2016-2017 with an average attendance of 1,000.

Rivalries

Prachuap F.C.'s main rival is fellow local team Hua Hin City F.C.. The matches played against team are referred to as the Prachuap Khiri Khan derby match.
