Rajdeep 'Raj' Grewal is the Townsend Family Distinguished Professor of Marketing at Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the editor-in-chief of Journal of Marketing Research.[1]

Biography

Grewal received his B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 1990. He received his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow in 1994 and Ph.D from University of Cincinnati in 1998. He was a professor at Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University from 2001 to 2014.

Research

Grewal has used quantitative methods to theoretically and empirically study social networks and interactions, competitive strategy and the role of marketing within an organization.[2] His work has been published in Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems Research, Strategic Management Journal, Decision Sciences and Management Science.

In 2016, Grewal was given the AMA Marketing Strategy SIG's 2016 Mahajan Award for lifetime contributions to Marketing Strategy research.
