Rakshit Shetty (born 6 June 1983)[1] is an Indian film actor, director, screenwriter, lyricist and producer best known for his work in Kannada cinema. Rakshit got his breakthrough with his role in Simple Agi Ondh Love Story (2013) which was directed by Suni. In 2014 he made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film Ulidavaru Kandanthe also played the lead role in the film. Later, he went on to act in successful films including Vaastu Prakaara (2015), Ricky (2016), Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu (2016). Rakshit Shetty made his debut as a producer with the film Kirik Party under his production company Paramvah Studios which also starred him in the title role.

Rakshit received the Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Debutant Director for the film Ulidavaru Kandanthe. Also received Filmfare Award for Best Director for his directorial debut Ulidavaru Kandanthe.
