SAPCA (Persian: سپکا, acronym officially standing for Crowd Control Police Dogs, Persian: سگ‌های پلیس کنترل اجتماعات[1] and Iran Detectives Police Dogs, Persian: سگ‌های پلیس کارآگاهان ایران;[1] Sâpcā also means "dog" in Old Persian[2]) is the search and rescue and police dog unit of Law Enforcement Force of Islamic Republic of Iran and a subdivision of its Special Units Command.[3] The unit was established in 2010.[4]
