There is a small Salvadoran diaspora in Mexico. According to the 2010 Census, there were more than 8,000 Salvadoran citizens registered as living in Mexico.

Migration history[edit]

The largest wave of Salvadorans arrived in Mexico as refugees during the Salvadoran Civil War.
