  • curprev 13:0513:05, 21 June 202499.190.199.40 talk 26,752 bytes −46 I removed this category because, while perhaps true in technicality, it is very misleading in its implications. Referring to Fr. Seraphim Rose as an "LGBT Orthodox Christian" implies more than just his suffering from that inclination: it implies that he accepted, lived out, and made part of his identity homosexual behavior, which could not be further from the truth. undo Tag: Reverted

  • curprev 02:5202:52, 20 June 202499.190.199.40 talk 26,798 bytes −598 I have deleted this sentence because I find it to be very misleading to Fr. Seraphim Rose's actual position. While it is true that he viewed modern science as more reliable in terms of natural facts than the Church Fathers, he explicitly did not consider evolution to be in this category, rather viewing it as a kind of philosophy, and therefore fully within the realm where the Fathers are supreme. Indeed, the entire letter from which this quote is taken is a Patristic refutation of evolution. undo Tag: references removed
