Shirur Anantpal is a town and headquarters of Shirur Anantpal Taluka in Latur subdivision of Latur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

The town is known for the Anantpal temple and its agricultural lands. The Anantpal Nutan Vidyalaya is the only reputable educational institute in the city.Shirur Anantpal taluka contains villeges Talegaon(De.),Honmal,Kalamgaon,Digol,Daithana,Sakol,Javalaga,Yerol etc.

Demographics

In the 2001 Indian census the village of was reported to have 8,682 inhabitants, with 4,535 males (52.2%) and 4,147 females (47.8%), for a ratio of 914 females per 1000 males.[2]

Reputable families of the village

The family of Ad. Sambhajirao Patil holds a good repute in the village along with the Shivlingappa Digole (Farmar sarpanch of village) and Shivane family who hold a strong social repute in the village. Shivraj Dhumale (Former sarpanch and chairman) is social worker and leader in village who has done lots of good work for the people.

Infrastructure

Colony established by Mr. Sangram Annarao Shindalkar in Kumar swami nagar is best planned colony in village (for its internal roads and planning)Est. in year 1990. Infrastructure and people's standard of living is good in this village. All government offices are present in village. [citation needed]
