Shoaib Hashmi is a veteran playwright,[1] actor and professor from Pakistan.[citation needed]

Family life and education

Hashmi did his MA in Economics from Government College (now Government College University), Lahore[citation needed] and his MSC from London School of Economics (LSE), London[2] He also studied theater at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London.[2]

Hashmi is married to Salima Hashmi, the daughter of noted Pakistani poet, Faiz Ahmed Faiz.[citation needed] The couple have two children.

Career

Teaching

Hashmi taught economics for many years[2] at Government College (now Government College University), Lahore and later taught Lahore School of Economics.For a while now he is sick and has difficulty walking and is leading a quite life in lahore.

He wrote the following TV serials for Pakistan Television (PTV) which aired before 1990.
