The presence of Somalis in Italy dates back after the end of the Italian Empire and most of them were married to Italian citizens.

Numbers

In 2014 in Italy there are 7,722 regular immigrants from Somalia. In 2006 there were 6,414. The three cities with most number of Somalis are: Rome, Turin and Florence.[1]
