Sturmer (comics)

Sturmer is a DC Comics character who is the pack leader of a band of fearsome War Dog company. He is Orion's "pet" war dog, who fights beside Orion. Orion seems to have a very deep bond with Sturmer, and Orion treats Sturmer with much respect. Sturmer was lost in the void when he sacrificed himself to push the monstrous "Wade Eiling" into the Ghost Zone. Superman attempts to save Sturmer, but Orion stops him, saying that Sturmer willingly gave his life for what he knew to be a good cause.
