Appearance
In some of the states of India, including Assam, Bihar, Sikkim, Manipur and West Bengal, as well as in the union territory of Lakshadweep, the administrative entities below the districts are named "Sub-Divisions" or "Subdivisions" of India.

As of 2011 Census of India, Bihar has 101 subdivisions. Subdivisions are further divided into Community development block.[1]
Lakshadweep
There are ten subdivisions of the union territory of Lakshadweep in the Laccadive Sea;[2] nine established in 1983, the tenth in 2009.[3]

Sikkim
