TPV Technology Limited (informally TPV) (Chinese: 冠捷科技; pinyin: Guànjié Kējí), (SEHK903, SGX: TPV ) is a multinational electronics company headquartered in Hong Kong, China. It is the world’s largest manufacturer of computer monitors. TPV designs and produces a full range of CRT and TFT LCD monitors as well as LCD TVs for distribution globally.[1] It sells its products under its own AOC and Envision brands, and is also an original design manufacturer for other companies.[2]

History

In September 2005, TPV Technology acquired part of Philips monitor and entry-level flat screen TV business, making it the largest display manufacturer in the world.[3] On March 31, 2008, the Company acquired a business operation from Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corporation.[4]

The company owns 70% of the Amsterdam based joint venture TP Vision, established in April 2012 acquired part of Philips'TVs business,that manufactures and sells Philips branded TVs.

Operations

TPV Technology Limited is an investment holding company. The company manufactures CRT monitors, LCD monitors & LCD TVs mainly in China and sells to Europe, North and South America, China, India and other Asian countries.[4] TPV has a total production capacity of 6.1 million monitors in a month. TPV has five factories in China, two factories in Europe and two in Brazil.[5]
