I think part of the edit war is because Chuck Liddell was not knocked out by Quinton Jackson. It was a premature stoppage by the referee and everyone that was there in person knows that Jackson was booed out of the presence of the spectators. The booing didn't stop until Jackson went to his dressing room. Dana White rushed over to Liddell immediately after the premature stoppage and it was obvious that he was offering him a big pay check to keep his mouth shut about the premature stoppage. He was mouthing words such as "pay you" "pay you" "worth while" over and over again. It was enough money that Liddell did keep his mouth shut. Everyone that was there saw that immediately after Liddell went down he was actively protecting himself and when the ref prematurely stopped the fight the ref had to sit on Liddell to keep him from standing up in protest. Once Dana White ran over and offered money to Liddell several people had to convince him to sit on the stool because he was still upset by the "fixed fight". Those of us who were there know what really happened. So the "official" record might say he was knocked out, but we know what the true facts are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Qwertasdfgzx (talk • contribs) 17:44, 12 November 2008 (UTC) |

Cite not needed
Requesting a citation for the statement "is considered by some to be the hardest puncher at 205 pounds" is as unneeded as a citation for "Dogs have fur". Anyone who's seen Liddell fight would know he's in the top 5. For reference, see fights vs Couture, Sobral, and Horn. Besides "considered by some" implies this is an opinion which needs no cite.
- Do opinions go in encyclopedias? I didn't know that, I shall call up Encyclopedia Britannica right away and demand more opinions in their entries.--Blingice 07:12, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- As a note, I agree with the opinion, but I mean, come on, let's not be stupid.--Blingice 07:13, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Why no matchup against Forrest Griffin?
I recall reading that Forrest doesn't feel that he is ready for Liddell at this point in time. -- Dan N.
Well, after tonight's performance, I think Forres is right on. Tito barely held on for two rounds. Jackbox1971 05:52, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
wasnt quite sure if the picture actually showed up
uh sorry. anyways silva vs liddell will be a good fight
Wanderlei Silva matchup
Edited the latest information in regards to this last matchup early this morning (9/19/06, towards the end of Liddell's information). Seems like the matchup may still be underway. -- Dan N.

SILVA FIGHT ISN"T HAPPENING
It should be removed its false--Donnie from the mean streets of Boston, KY 02:29, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- It is still relevant, atleast to inform people it is not happening... by the year's end it should be gone until something more than speculation is on the plate Thesaddestday 05:27, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- ?? It was a rumored fight to begin with, Dana jumped the gun and announced it under the premise that PRIDE would be closing shop after the yakuza scanadal...But yeah I guess it should still be in the article????--Donnie from the mean streets of Boston, KY 17:37, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Somebody vandalized the Personal Life section
Read it and you'll see what I mean.
MMA Fight record
1. Chuck Liddell has lost all of his fights via. TKO (his first loss to Horn was by passing out, he stated HIMSELF that he never tapped because he thought he could hold on until the next round. He didn't) 2. Chuck's TKO loss to Rampage in 2003 was actually due to Chuck's corner throwing in the towel, not by strikes. Watch the ending of that fight and you can clearly see a white towel thrown to the referee, who then stops the fight.
I'll change these 2. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SuzukS (talk • contribs) 03:23, 18 February 2007 (UTC).
Might be interesting to mention Liddell's close friendship with FB stud Lorenzo Neal of the SD Chargers. They train together, and are close friends.
Liddell's latest fight was lost by TKO, not KO, according to the UFC website. I'm changing it back to TKO. http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=EventDetail.FightCard&eid=547 Bockbockchicken 17:57, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
I think it is worth noting that the match was ruled a KO after the fight. but yes the site does say tko. i'm not going to bother with a source because i'm pretty sure it will be deleted if i place a link to a torrent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.247.68.66 (talk) 20:58, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter what they announce. The government organization dedicated to regulating combat sports in Nevada has the final say. [1] east.718 at 10:52, 10/18/2007
To the first comment, Liddells first loss would be considered a Technical Submission --SuzukS 05:42, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
Good Morning Texas
Any official explanation so far as to his appearing drugged/asleep/mentally injured during this now infamous appearance promoting the film "300"? Let me say IMO I don't think he was on any recreational or illegal drugs, the UFC tests it's fighters and he came up clean (which also would probably discount non-prescribed prescription painkillers). However he DID appear to either be heavily drunk, suffering from serious sleep deprivation, or as some people are speculating suffering from some form of head trauma. Now I'm sure it was something simple (I'm voting sleep deprivation, I've heard those dudes between publicity stuff, training, and just day to day life end up with a pretty hellishly hectic daily regieme), however what was his camps or his sports governing bodies official response on the incident? That would be nice to put up here, since it would be a 'fact' we could link and would put an end to some of the sillier rumors that have circulated since.
Clarification of status
In the introduction it states that Liddell has received his purple belt in Jiu-jitsu. I assume because of his career that it would mean BJJ and not some other form; can anyone clarify?
Career Record
Since 67.164.23.186 screwed up the box by adding some random crap to it, could someone proficient in Wikicode either revert the change or just fix the box? Thanks. --Blingice 16:57, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Vandilism
Stop vandilizing the page because Chuck lost. Someone deleted his record off the page. Can we please have this restored asap and place a lock on this page.
I don't think whoever deleted it did so because they were upset that Chuck lost, as they left only 1 fight of the record on the page, his recent loss. 74.107.206.130 09:24, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Restored
I've restored the damages made by another person.
MMA Record
Can someone change the format of Chuck's MMA record with the notes section to tel you about titles and stuff? The way it is now looks stupid.(MgTurtle 19:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)). Never mind, I fixed it.(MgTurtle 16:01, 28 May 2007 (UTC)).
MMA Record
Can someone change the ending method of his last fight against Rampage? I don't remember a submission named kiss of death, and it was a TKO (referee stoppage).
I am sorry if this is not proper category but I just wanted to ask you - what the hell??? You wrote Chuck Liddell lost from Rashad Evans, but on the official ufc site it says Chuck withdraw from the match due to an injury....
??? I am confused? I would appreciate the explanation. Thanx!--VEGETA_DTX (talk) 12:18, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
opening paragraphs
I think that the opening paragraphs do not need to mention that high school football player who started 4 years its something plenty of guys do (maybe move it to a trivia area). I think instead in the opening paragraph is should state that he was college wrestler, being that is something he is more known for.
What is with the records of certain fighters (Liddell's included) showing their record after EVERY fight? I find that extremely pointless.
Do we have to include the number of times he beat someone?I think it's stupid and is pointless since it shows the opponents in the mma record.(MgTurtle (talk) 14:11, 3 August 2008 (UTC))
Dan Liddell
Should it be mentioned that Chuck's brother Dan is also training in mma?(MgTurtle (talk) 20:33, 7 August 2008 (UTC))
- On Chuck's page, NO Swampfire (talk) 20:34, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Dan Liddell? Can't find anything about him... Are you sure you're not thinking about Sean Liddell, who is already mentioned in the article? --aktsu (t / c) 21:59, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
No I'm talking about his younger brother Dan Liddell who hasn't made his mma debut yet but will on August 15th, 2008.Here's a link [2](MgTurtle (talk) 01:54, 8 August 2008 (UTC)).
Kickboxing record
I wanted to ask before i make the change. I wanna add his kickboxing rec (20F, 18W, 16KO's, 2L) to his infobox. example Mark Hunt. Any objections?Marty Rockatansky (talk) 20:59, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

hmm
ok well i see you using alot of big words but you dont seem to be saying much. facts are facts. he was named "most dangerous man" despite being TKO'd less than three weeks prior. you cant argue with the truth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emex4 (talk • contribs) 07:19, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
