RImatara or Rurutu

[edit]

Did the Îles Maria belong to Rimatara or Rurutu in the 19th century? The treaty making Rimatara a protectorate of France in 1889 call it Rimatara's protectorate, but the 1900 treaty of annexation of Rurutu calls it a dependency of Rurutu. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KAVEBEAR (talkcontribs) 02:20, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Marià?

[edit]

Is Marià, seen here (original here) an alternative spelling, or a misreading of the scan? --xensyriaT 10:11, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prison colony?

[edit]

As a result, I've removed the claim from the page, until any better sources are found that support it. --YodinT 09:05, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
