[edit]Peter Ackroyd in his new (2005) biography of William Shakespeare notes that the summer of 1594 was 'terrible', 'very wet and wondrous cold' according to Simon Foreman and attributes to this the complaint by Titania in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' that 'the seasons alter'.
