- 1977 World Sportscar Championship → 1977 World Championship for Sports Cars
- 1980 World Sportscar Championship → 1980 World Championship for Makes

- Oppose – "World Sportscar Championship" appears to be the WP:COMMONNAME based on a Google search, and "World Championship for Makes" is more ambiguous and less recognisable since other series like WRC have also awarded World Championships for makes/manufacturers.
